IT Support Engineer - London
London (2-3 days in office)
The Role
We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to help support and grow our client’s business. You will assist with office and data centre environments in five countries, supporting client-facing applications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to the user base.
Additionally, you will be responsible for working with the Senior Engineering / Operations Manager to support their global infrastructure.
This candidate will also participate in and lead multiple projects simultaneously and track their progress through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd Level IT support to Users including:
- Laptop configuration and support.
- Supporting network access.
- Supporting printing.
- Assist in onboarding of new users.
- Document internal procedures.
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
- Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licences.
- Support the company’s global hosting infrastructure including Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, Internet, and Remote Access systems.
- Perform infrastructure, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and maintain network switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Respond to and analyse security system alerts and incident reports.
- Server, network, and storage hardware implementation and troubleshooting.
- Part of an On-Call Rota for Out of Hours support and escalations.
- Occasional travel to other offices and client sites may be required.

- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft Active Directory and DNS
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Azure
- VMware Vsphere 6.7
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or newer
- Microsoft Exchange 2013 or newer
- Video Conferencing (Zoom and/or Webex)
- Fiber Channel and iSCSI SAN storage experience
- ITIL V3 Foundation (minimum)
- Enterprise Backup Applications and Systems (Rubrik (is Desirable))
- Anti-Malware / Anti-Virus protection security applications experience
Other desirable skills
- Experience with VOIP solutions e.g. Shoretel/Mitel
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016/2019
- Experience with 3PAR storage
- Security certification
- Minimum 3 years IT Help Desk experience supporting a multi-office environment
