Overview
In the Risk Transformation practice at our firm we support our clients in finding solutions to their business challenges using a strategic risk lens. We approach enterprise risk management (ERM) as a critical component of business strategy and decision-making.
Our key focus areas include:
· Risk Strategy – creating a shared risk vision for the enterprise, creating a risk strategy to deliver the risk vision and providing a risk roadmap to guide this strategy
· Risk Operating Model – developing target risk operating models covering risk framework, policies, procedures, controls, roles and capabilities, leadership, and digital enablers
· Risk Management Framework – assisting in the articulation, implementation and embedding of an enterprise-wide risk management framework from the design through to core deliverable mapping.
Work closely and effectively with our colleagues within the Digital and Risk Advisory Services department, including internal audit, controls, and third party assurance among others.
Responsibilities
If you are passionate about risk management and interested in using innovative risk approaches to articulate solutions to clients’ commercial challenges, then we would love to hear from you. For this level, we would expect to see 4-6 years of risk management experience either in industry or professional services.
The role comprises project delivery and business development, with an element of supporting senior team members in developing the broader service proposition and risk methodologies.
Project delivery: you will be part of the end-to-end delivery team for risk management and risk transformation projects. You will be expected to support senior team members in project delivery, but be capable of leading smaller projects or workstreams of bigger projects with limited oversight. This may include, but is not limited to, document and process review, interviews with key stakeholders, facilitated workshops, report writing, reporting to Boards and Audit and Risk Committees.
Business development and RFP
Essential
Subject matter expertise, ability to review effectiveness of risk frameworks and risk management processes across a broad range of industries, including retail and manufacturing
Knowledge and expertise in the design and delivery of Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and/or Risk Maturity Assessments (RMAs)
Experience with the development and review of risk response strategies Provision of support and/or delivery of risk training and awareness programmes for clients and internal stakeholders
Experience in designing and deploying risk methodologies, with a good understanding of risk appetite statements
Development and implementation of risk reporting processes in line with client requirements
Some experience in developing and review of risk reporting, risk dashboards, governance reporting and presenting key themes and industry trends in client meetings
Development of appropriate KPIs/KRIs appropriate for wider range of industries Coordination of risk transformation/internal audit interaction and identification of cross sell opportunities
Project delivery skills
Strong report writing skills and ability to succinctly articulate summary findings. Comfortable delivering under pressure across multiple projects
Experienced in pulling together client proposals focusing on value proposition
Experienced in undertaking internal commercial, risk and stakeholder management.
