Legal Technology Lawyer –Project Leader

London (initially remote)

You will work within our e-Discovery Team and alongside e-Discovery service providers to deliver innovation, technology solutions in the disputes and investigations process.
You will need to be a qualified lawyer with a deep understanding of the investigations process involved in litigation, arbitration and investigations, you will champion the implementation of technology throughout the investigations process.

You will need to have a strong knowledge in how technology can be used to drive efficiency. An understanding of the EDRM model will provide you with the insight on how and where technology can be utilised.This is an exciting opportunity to deliver market leading technology for the benefit of our internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Deliver innovative services in Disputes and Investigations, Competition, and Corporate groups;

  • Work as a team with associates and the eDiscovery team to deliver a best in class service, utilising technology wherever possible to deliver increased service quality
  • Work with e-Discovery Service Providers to ensure they are providing access to the most advanced technology and delivering a premium service.
  • Identify areas where technology can/must be used and successfully implement these
  • Project manage and lead on e-Discovery projects, be accountable for the successful delivery of those projects.Work with paralegals in creating and managing documentation.
  • Work with colleagues to provide front of house technical and ops support for document review and data management.
  • Provide document review platform support to fee earners, including; training, database searches, doc. review workflow admin. etc.
  • Manage and QC document productions, incl. exchange of data/docs with opposing parties or regulators.
  • ?Review and recommend technology solutions that may benefit the firms Investigations Project Lead.

Candidate Background

A legal qualification with experience in disputes and investigations, a good knowledge of the investigative processes of eDiscovery.

  • Must have a good understanding of e-Disclosure Technology and its applications
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
  • Strong communication to build business relationships with internal/external contactsExcellent interpersonal skills, (written, spoken and presentational), including strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to express views concisely in a variety of communications.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task under pressure and work to tight deadlinesAble to offer advice on bespoke technical issues which are wider in scope or not clear-cut
