The Role:

Our client requires a lawyer or experienced paralegal to manage their Document Review Team in Germany and consult with clients as a part of our Managed Document Review service.

The successful candidate will be the first Review Manager to be based in Germany as part of a growing division, working alongside review managers in other European locations.

Our client:

Helps clients and their lawyers manage evidence in legal cases, in particular litigation proceedings, arbitration and other disputes, competition law investigations and internal fraud investigations.


§ Manage multiple document review projects including project staffing, security, facilities, and technology needs.

§ Responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

§ Consult directly with client regarding all aspects of the review.

§ Ensure quality output by review lawyers

§ Use technical and administrative functions in document review platforms including Relativity and Review in order to manage the flow of documents to reviewers.

§ Support activities of the Marketing and Business Development departments such that the Business Development team is able to provide clients with compelling, timely responses and solutions to review opportunities.

§ Travel requirements - up to 50% from time to time including international travel.

§ May require the ability to work 2nd shift from time to time and/or weekends as necessary.


§ LLB or equivalent university qualification in law. Experience working as a lawyer, litigation support professional or paralegal preferred.

§ Solid experience in successfully managing large scale document reviews within a law firm and/or as vendor; including expert use of document review software.

§ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; strong presentation and influencing skills, both internal and external.

§ Proven ability to handle multiple projects and manage conflicting priorities.

§ Strong decision making and judgment skills are critical to this position; advanced problem solving experience is essential.

§ Expert technical aptitude in various applications; including document review software like Relativity, Review, Recommind Axcelerate or Ringtail.
