Director to Partner of Valuations for Audit

Location: London (have a hybrid work policy)

You will probably come from or have in your past an Audit background and understand the diverse items that need to be valued across various industry sectors.  The role requires excellent skills in organisation, prioritisation and communication.  With no external BD you will build internal relationships with senior staff/stakeholders across various teams (particularly Audit and related teams).

You will lead a team of 10+ expert valuations staff on engagement. There is an established case for fast tracking to Partner in this role.

 Responsibilities

Managing a team of people tasked with providing technical support to audit engagement teams in connection with the items below with an ability to allocate to the right team members:

ImpairmentsIntangible assets valuesPurchase price allocationsShare based payments/valuationsEquity investment valuationsIncremental borrowing rates

 

Oversee the delivery of clear, succinct and robust valuation analysis  to audit teams
Develop and maintain quality control mechanisms for deliverablesProvide effective intellectual input and justify to senior staff valuation assumptions and conclusions.Keep up to date on regulatory changes in the audit sector and be responsible for communicating to the team.Lead the development of best practice across your team, particularly around risk management.Manage expectations and relationships, timely and appropriate communication. Build strong working relationships with key audit partners across the firmTake a leading role in the development of technology solutions across the teamBe keen to progress to a partner role in the short to medium term

 

Requirements

Professional qualification; ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalentSignificant experience in Advisory services likely from Audit, or Valuations or perhaps Forensic AccountingExperience of financial reporting valuations and a good understanding of the fair value accounting standardsStrong business writing, analytical and excel modelling skills.
